Roles: User Research, UX Design & Content
Team: 9 (5 devs, 1 product owner, 2 designers + myself)
Methods: Heuristic analysis, cognitive walkthrough, usability testing & evaluation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, iterative analysis, pen/paper sketches, Sketch mockups, design workshops
Duration: 3 months, ongoing
Research method: Iterative Usability Testing & Evaluation
Given that mobile AR turns any environment into an interface, in-situ evaluation is necessary to ensure a usable product. I strategically set up the room to reflect a home environment, and am now focused on bringing the testing out of the lab.

Usability testing & eval focused on identifying issues/opportunities to prioritize ideal user flow and necessary instructions to guide users through the scan.
Using detailed observation, transcription, and analysis from the usability tests and respective user interviews, I refined the UX content and proposed new design concepts via sketches.

Fit Visualization Research
Fit Visualization Concepts
Research Questions:
How do people conceptualize an ill-fitting shoe?
Which visualization best illustrates how users mentally model a shoes fit?
Fully colored fit zones vs. partly colored side-of-foot
Pressure arrows vs. pressure points vs. none
Product detail (large view) vs. product list (smaller view + comparison between products)
This project is ongoing, set to launch to customers by May/June.
